High expansion foam should be thought of as an Air Seali
ng product
that can
be used to block air leaks in buildings from inside to outside,
from outside to inside, and from room to room within the structure.
Typically used for bigger voids and openings, high expansion foam is
a quick and economical way to help make buildings more comfortable
and energy efficient.
Important Information when using 2-part foam in cold weather
Temperatures of A & B canisters must be brought to 70–80°F prior
to application. The higher the better. Canisters that were stored in
low temperatures may require more than 24–48 hours to warm
the contents.
Keep the tanks inside until you are ready to use them, and if you have
product left over in the tanks that you intend to use later, put t
hem
back in
warm storage.
If you are on a cold job site using this product, keeping it wrapped in
old blankets and cardboard boxes will help maintain the temperature.
We have had customers actually use the 2-part foam itself to make an
insulated sleeve for the tanks that they use during the day on job sites.
Please call us for further details and a more complete flier on cold
weather usage.
