N.B.:
• We recommend that you hold the intensity selection guide against an
area such as the back of your wrist (because this is an area of the body
which is usually darker as it is exposed to the sun more).
• If in doubt as to which of any two phototypes to choose, choose the
darker one.
Note: In order to use Homelight® safely, the intensity selection guide
must, categorically, be used in conjunction with the instructions given
in this instruction manual. Selecting the wrong level of intensity can
lead to side effects.
Description of the phototypes (skin types according to Fitzpatrick)
Phototype I Skin is very
white,
milky
Never tans, always burns
Phototype II Pale skin Tans slightly, often burns
Phototype III Beige skin Tans moderately, sometimes burns
Phototype IV Light brown
skin
Tans easily, does not burn often
Phototype V Dark brown
skin
Tans very easily, rarely burns

B. Performing a test with Homelight®
48 hours before the first use, you should perform a test with
Homelight® on one leg (a few light pulses), selecting intensity level 1
regardless of your skin type.
