PC Software Control and Installation
The PC software provides remote communication, data logging, front panel emulation, and timed programming capabilities
using the USB or RS-485 interfaces. The software supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10.
Note: Do not connect both USB and RS-485 simultaneously.
7.1 USB Driver Installation
Remote communication using USB requires the installation of the CP210X USB virtual COM driver available for download
at bkprecision.com. The USB driver is only required for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 operating systems. For Windows 10 use the
default driver that is automatically installed. If required, download the driver under the “Docs & Software” tab https
://www.bkprecision.com/products/power-supplies/1687B-1-36v-0-10a-dc-power-supply.html (See
Figure 7.1).

1. Click “CP210X_USB_Driver.zip” to begin the download
2. Whem complete, right click on the .zip folder and click “Extract All
3. Depending on your system right-click and run the 32-bit or 64-bit installer as administrator to begin installation, see
Figure 7.2.

7.2 Software Installation
The PC software is available for download under the Docs & Software tab: https://www.bkprecision.com/products

1. Click on the .zip le to begin download.
2. When complete, right-click on the .zip le and click “Extract All
3. Right-click on the .exe le and select “Run as administrator”. Figure 7.3
