Listofphasescarriedoutduring
programexecution
Whentheuserhasselectedthedesiredprogram,
STARTmustbepressedtobegintheprogram.In
orderforthistooccur,theheatintakefanmust
notberunning(theEDGmustdetectthesail
switchtransitioningfromopentoclosed).
Oncetheprogramstarts,asetofoperationsis
carriedoutperiodically,regardlessoftheprogram
phasecurrentlyunderway.Theseoperationsare
asfollows:
WhenSTARTispressed,thefirstphasetobe
carriedoutistheprogramstartingphase.
Thisconsistsincleaningtheblowerbypilotinga
jetofcompressedairfor3seconds(optional
feature,notpresentonallmachines).
Inaddition,gascontrolunitresetiscarriedout,
andthe“DryerBusy”signalturnson.Thissignal
willremainactiveuntiltheprogramiscompleted
orinterrupted,evenduringpausesdueto
openingofthedoororsinglestop.
Whenthisphaseends,theflowofcompressedair
iscutoffandthegascontrolunitresetsignalis
turnedoff.Atthispointthefanturnsonandthe
actualdryingphasebegins.Upuntilnowthe
displayshowsthenameoftheselectedprogram.
Heatadjustmentiscarriedoutduringthisphase
sothatthetemperatureinsidethebasketmaybe
keptatthesetvalue,witha3°Chysteresis.
Thedisplayshowinginformationaboutthe
programunderway,inotherwordsactual
temperatureandresidualtime,isupdatedevery
6seconds.
Inaddition,basketmovementisstarted.This,if
themachineisequippedwithreversing,
determinesanalternatebasketmovement
accordingtothetimessetintheprogram.Incase
themachineisnotequippedwithreversing,the
basketisconnectedtothefanmotorwhichgives
ititsmotion.
Themachinemovesontothenextphase,
coolingdown,whentheresidualtimeexpires.
Duringthecoolingdownphasethedisplay
showsthemessage“COOLDOWN”.
Thisphasediffersfromthedryingphasemainly
becauseheatadjustmentnowends.Cooldown
iscompletedoncetherelevanttemperatureset
inlowlevelprogrammingisreached,orwhen
therelevanttimeexpires(alsosetinlowlevel
programming),dependingonwhichofthetwo
conditionsoccursfirst.
Attheendofthecooldownphasethedryer
stops,andthe“DryerBusy”signalturnsoff.
Dependingonthesettingofparameter
“ANTICREASESN”inhighlevelprogramming,
theendofcoolingdowndetermines:
IfANTICREASESNwassettoYES,the
machinemovesontothepausephase
whichprecedestheanti-creasecycle.
IfANTICREASESNwassetatNO,the
programends.
Inbothcasesthedisplayindicates“END”and
thebuzzergoesoffforatimesetinthe
program.
Theanti-creasephaseisprecededbya2-
minutepauseinterval,duringwhichthe
machineremainsinactive.
Attheendofthispausetheanti-creasecycle
begins.
Thiscyclecanlastforamaximumof99
minutes,anditstopseverytimethedooris
opened.Duringthisphasethebasketmoves
periodically(withalternatemotionifreversalis
enabled).Inaddition,thebuzzergoesoffevery
timemotionstarts.
Oncetheanti-creasecycleisfinishedthe
programisdone.
Everytimeaprogramisinterrupted(door
openedorSTOPpush-buttonpressed),the
subsequentrestart(bypressingENTER)no
longerbeginsfromthestartingphasebutrather
fromthedryingone.
