View of contacts in socket:
Hint: The connector Pin 1 ( +12V) is connected
with the external supply voltage. If the board is
powered with 24 V, the voltage at this Pin is also
24 V.
The analog input is to be configured over jumper
plugs for different type of applications:

Test and simulation
(1-2) RIN 100k: Impedance input 100 k: All such
components are suitable as sensors, in which the
resistance value changes as a function of the
measured parameter, e.g. LDR's (photo resistors)
or NTC's (temperature sensors). The sensor is
connected with a resistance value of 0 ... 100
kOhm at the input socket between ANA and GND.
(3-4) RIN 10k: Same as (1), however for sensors
with resistance value 0 ... 10k
(5-6) RIN 1k: Same as (1), however for sensors
with resistance value 0 ... 1k
(7-8) 0 ... 1V: Voltage input 0 ... 1V for industrial
transducer with voltage output. The measuring
probe is connected at the input socket between
ANA and GND. Measurement of current signals
0(4) ... 20 mA is also possible over a 50 Ohm
shunt.
(9-10) 0 ... 10V: Same as (4) however with voltage
input 0..1V,
(11-12) Poti: Potentiometer for Test and for Simu-
lation, positioning during despatch.
In order to measure values of measuring probes
with current output, a shunt (instrument grade
resistance) of 50 ohms can be connected at the
input and configuration 0... 1 V can be selected.
The voltage and resistance measuring range are
short time protected against over
voltage. External connected high
voltage can lead to failure of
components.
At pin 5 of RJ12 socket, 5V operating voltage is
available for supply to external measuring probes.
The voltage is stabilised and short circuit protected
in line with specification for integrated voltage
regulator 78L05. The maximum current
consumption should not exceed 50 mA in total.
Presence of external voltage leads to damage of
components!
At pin 4 of RJ12 socket, operating voltage from
external power supply (12 … 24V) is available for
supply to external components. A short circuit
proof power supply is recommended for the
application.
