For static mode, you will need to specify IP Address, Netmask and
Gateway. For dynamic mode, these will be assigned for you from your
router or ISP.
Nat and Firewall These settings should only be disabled if you understand ALL the
implications. We do not recommend this except when using this device
behind another firewall, or as a VPN lite node.
ADSL Settings
The ADSL tab allows you to select the modulation and ADSL type. By default you should
select Auto Sync-up or ADSL2+, and Annex A
Quality of Service
Quality of Service or QoS provides different priority to different applications, users, or data
flows, to guarantee a certain level of performance. For example, QoS is important for real-
time streaming multimedia applications such as voice over IP, online games and IPTV to
provide fixed bit rate and prevent delay.
