The ceiling tile speakers that Connevans supply for use with
IR Classmate systems are glued on top of the existing ceiling tile.
The ceiling tile speakers are 8 Ohms.
Ceiling tiles must not have insulation, cables etc. placed on or above
them. Ceiling tile speakers give very good speech reproduction and
are aesthetically unobtrusive as
there is nothing to be seen.
Wall mounted speakers versus ceiling tile speakers
The wall mounted speakers are more efficient and have
a fuller sound than ceiling tile speakers which is why we
supply wall speakers as standard with IR
Classmate
systems. However, ceiling tile speakers provide a neat
installation option for classrooms with suspended
ceilings and give a more even non directional sound.
