4.5 RAID Configuration Setup

This tool allows user to manually setup RAID system by choosing RAID level,

number of HD, and slice size. There are four main categories within RAID

configuration setup menu.

4.5.1 General Params

Basic RAID level setup

Re-config Raid Used to change an existing RAID configuration.

RAID Level Used to specify the RAID level.

Disk Number in RAID Used to specify the number of disks in the array.

The number is based on the number of physical disks

installed.

Strip Size Used to specify the size of the stripe in blocks (1 block =

512 bytes).

Write Buffer Used to buffer writes operations using memory. This helps

improve the write performance for RAID 5
