AB20A 20 CM AKtivSUBWOOFER Besten Dank und Gratulation zum Kauf dieses AXTON 20cm Aktivsubwoofers. Um die Klangqualität dieser Car Audio Komponente voll auszuschöpfen, ist die Montage und die anschliessende Einstellung der Frequenzweiche durch einen Fachhändler/Einbauer sehr zu empfehlen. Falls Sie jedoch beabsichtigen dieses System selbst einzubauen, bitten wir Sie, sich eingehend mit den nachfolgend im Detail beschriebenen Montage- und Einstellmöglichkeiten vertraut zu machen.
1. TECHNISCHER AUFBAU / MERKMALE ■ 20 CM AKTIVSUBWOOFER: Dieser kompakte Aktivsubwoofer mit eingebautem Class-D Verstärker dient zur Nachrüstung von Fahrzeugen, um die Basswiedergabe der Originallautsprecher im Bassbereich deutlich zu erweitern. Durch die Verwendung eines Passivradiators kann dieses Aktivsystem sehr tiefe Bässe verzerrungsfrei wiedergeben.

3. VOR DER INSTALLATION ACHTUNG! Entfernen Sie zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit erst das Pluskabel vom Pluspol der Batterie! Bei allen nachfolgend beschriebenen Installationsschritten muss der Stromkreis des Kraftfahrzeugs unterbrochen sein! Erst nach Abschluss aller Installationsarbeiten wird über das Pluskabel der Stromkreis wieder geschlossen.
4. VERKABELUNG / ELEKTRISCHER ANSCHLUSS 4.1 HAUPT-STROMKABEL Verlegen Sie nun das Pluskabel direkt von der Batterie zum Verstärker. Verwenden Sie ein Hauptstromkabel von der Batterie zum Aktivsubwoofer mit mindestens 10mm² Querschnitt.
5. EINSTELLUNGEN AN DER FREQUENZWEICHE 5.1 TIEFPASS TRENNFREQUENZ EINSTELLUNG Die zu wählende Trennfrequenz des Tiefpasses („CROSSOVER“) sollte je nach Grösse und Belastbarkeit der im Fahrzeug vorhandenen Lautsprecher eingeregelt werden. Normalerweise liegt die akustisch ideale Trennfrequenz um die 80 bis 100 Hz.

If you plan on installing this component system by yourself, please read the following installation guide carefully, before you attempt the installation.
1. TECHNICAL DESIGN FEATURES ■ 8" ACTIVE SUBWOOFER This compact active subwoofer deploys a class-D power amplifier. It is best used to upgrade vehicles with a factory installed OEM speaker system. The cabinet utilizes a passive radiator, to yield excellent low bass response from an extremely small net volume. ■ CLASS-D AMPLIFICATION WITH 70W RMS / 140W PEAK POWER The amp-module features a class-D circuitry for high power output and low current demand.

3. MOUNTING OF THE ACTIVE SUB Attention! For your own safety, disconnect the positive battery terminal (+12V) or remove the main fuse in the positive power cable near the car battery, before you start any wiring work! The mounting location should be carefully selected, and in the interest of passive driver and passenger safety, this active subwoofer must be securely mounted.
Attach the ground cable to the GND terminal on the backside of the active subwoofer. In most cases it will be best to keep the ground cable („-12V“) as short as possible, i.e. to find a chassis contact very close to the active sub. The ground power wire must have the same cross-section as the positive power cable. The contact point where the ground wire is attached to, must be solid and clean, i.e. free from rust or paint! 4.
