Proxxon 230V Power Tools

Proxxon KG 50 Cut-Off Saw

Accurately cuts small items of metal, wood and plastic. Table

movable through 45°, allowing mitre cuts. Workpiece

is fastened tightly and accurately by means of the integrated

clamping device. Clamp jaws 27mm wide and maximum

workpiece diameter 20mm. Depth of cut to 13mm. A special slot

is provided to clamp H0 model tracks. The fence accepts lengths

up to 140mm. Five ceramic cutting discs 50 x 1 x 10mm are also

included suitable for cutting steel, non-ferrous metals as well as

small wooden or plastic rods. Peripheral speed 20 m/sec.

Load bearing components are all made of die-cast aluminium,

with milled seats for bearings and spindles, for vibration-free,

smooth thicknessing of hard and soft woods. The result is a high

grade, very smooth surface. The triple spindled table is made from

die-cast aluminium and milled to close tolerances. The handwheel

(zero adjustable) allows adjustments to 0.1mm. Auto feed is ﬁ tted

as standard, as well as an anti-kickback device. The infeed roller

is rifﬂ ed and spring loaded to assist in feeding uneven materials.

The outfeed roller is rubber coated to prevent marking the newly

planed wood. The cutter block is ﬁ tted with two HSS knives. The

on/off switch is dust protected and ﬁ tted with a no-volt-release

switch. Table length 232mm. Overall machine dimensions 280 x

230 x 235mm. Weight approximately 8kg.

Proxxon DH 40 Thicknesser

This product is ideal for architectural models,

designers, decorators, artists (teaching too),

prototypes as well as classical railroad, plane

and model boat building. Double function

fence with lockable feed bar. The unit’s double

wound transformer and insulation to class 2 ensure the cutter

is absolutely safe. The cutting wire operates at 10V, 1A. The

large base with 390 x 280mm table ensures smooth and easy

movement of the workpiece. The printed grid and protractor

ease division and cutting. Solid aluminium overarm has a 350mm

throat and offers 140mm capacity in height. The holder and wire

coil (30m, 0.2mm diameter is included) may be shifted along the

overarm to enable mitre cutting. A LED indicates operation and

prevents burnt ﬁ ngers (the cutting wire heats to maximum in less

than 1 second). N.B. The correct temperature, being material type

and thickness dependent, is learnt from experience. Optimum

proﬁ les are cut at lower temperatures and cutting force.

A cross between a router table and moulder/shaper in miniature.

This machine is a self-contained unit using miniature router

cutters, held in the collets 2.4, 3, and 3.2mm, to produce small

detailed proﬁ les used in dolls house, model making projects

and similar precision work. Powered by a long-life 100W motor

achieving 25,000rpm no load speed. The head is fully adjustable

within a cutter guard/hold down, the incremental adjustment

can be zeroed with one revolution equalling 1.00mm in height

and one division on the scale equalling 0.05mm in height.

Measuring 300 x 150mm the table is a generous well made

surface supporting a full length parallel fence and slotted for the

mitre fence or any jigs or sub-tables you might want to traverse

across the cutter. Dust extraction is essential with this unit via the

37mm outlet provided and which is suitable for connection to a

standard vacuum cleaner.

Proxxon SS 230/E Super Jig Saw

This is a precision jigsaw for cutting smaller and

more intricate work. The main housing is die-cast

aluminium for longevity. The base tilts up to 45°

for mitre/angled cuts. The stroke speed is variable

between 2,000 and 4,500 strokes per minute,

with full wave electronic speed control. An ideal tool for cutting

very tight curves in wood, PC cards (up to 5mm thick) and

non-ferrous metals (up to 3mm thick). It is supplied in tough

moulded case with 4 Super-Cut blades for wood, plastic and

metal. Maximum power consumption 100W, 230V. Stable head of
