A well ﬁ nished forged 1/4” hex mini reversible ratchet. 95mm in

length, with a 15mm deep head. With a screwdriver tip in place

it still only needs 30mm in which to operate. Included are 1/4”

hex 10 tips (3 Phillips and 7 Torx) plus a 1/4” hex quick release bit

holder to use in a drill or extend the reach of the ratchet.

Small and very controllable, this GluePen from Bosch is great for a

host of small work where you need to be very precise. Using Li-Ion

technology, the built-in 3.6V battery makes it very portable. With

rapid heat-up of only 15 seconds (170°C), a single battery charge is

enough for 30 minutes (6 glue sticks). It ﬁ ts comfortably in your hand

and works cleanly with an automatic glue retraction. Auto shut-off

after 10 minutes. It takes 7mm glue sticks. 2 year Bosch warranty.

This spokeshave is the latest addition to the Veritas line of fully

functional miniature tools. At less than an ounce and only 89mm

long overall, it is a third the size of their regular ﬂ at-bottomed

spokeshave, and is useful for making ﬁ ne shaping cuts where a

full-sized tool would be too bulky or awkward to use. Made of

investment-cast stainless steel, the low proﬁ le body has a 45° blade

bed, a tight ﬁ xed mouth opening and bubinga handles. The sole

and blade bed are machined. The 19mm wide and 1.6mm thick A2

blade is hardened to Rc60-62 and also available as a spare. Supplied

in a ﬁ tted embossed leatherette box, it makes a great gift.

Series X0 Micro Drill

A very useful little pillar drill for the model engineer, electronics

enthusiast or indeed anyone who has the need for an accurate,

compact machine for drilling holes up to 6mm diameter. Unlike

many other similar drills, the Axminster Model Engineer Series

X0 is solidly made and has a hefty cast iron base, making it stable

and free from vibration. Features include a choice of two speed

ranges with full electronic control within each speed range,

digital read-out of the quill travel with zeroing facility and choice

of metric or imperial units, coarse or ﬁ ne downfeed and a quill

locking screw. The cast iron base has two T-slots for holding a vice

or compound table and there is an adjustable fence bar which

clamps to the table to act as a support for the workpiece.
