TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtoperformactionswhendifferenteventsoccur,forexample,startarecordingwhenmotionis
detected.ThesetofconditionsthatdeneshowandwhentheactionistriggerediscalledanActionRule.

Thiscanforexamplebeusedtosendnotications.

•Hardware
-Network—triggertheruleifnetworkconnectionislostorrestored.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtostart
recordingtotheSDcard.
-Temperature—triggertheruleifthetemperaturefallsoutsideorinsidetheoperatingrangeoftheproduct.This
canforexamplebeusedtosendmaintenancenotications.
•InputSignal

-Ready—triggertherulewhenthePTZfunctionalityisreadytobeused.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtosteer
thecameratoaspecicpresetpositionwhentheproductisstarted.
•Storage
-Disruption—triggertheruleifstorageproblemsaredetected,forexampleifthestoragedeviceisunavailable,
removed,full,lockedorifotherreadorwriteproblemsoccur.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtosendmaintenance
notications.
-Recording—triggerstherulewhentheAxisproductrecordstothestoragedevice.Therecordingstatustrigger
canbeusedtonotifytheoperator,forexamplebyashingLEDlights,iftheproducthasstartedorstoppedto
recordtothestoragedevice.Notethat,thistriggercanbeusedonlyforedgestoragerecordingstatus.
