Whenusingatextstring,modierscanbeusedtodisplayinformationsuchasthecurrentbitrateorthecurrentframerate.

Itisalsopossibletodisplaytextwhenanactionruleistriggered,seeUseOverlayTextinanActionRule.

Toenableoverlays:

1.GotoVideo&Audio>VideoStreamandselecttheImagetab.

2.Toincludeanoverlayimage,selectIncludeoverlayimageatthecoordinates.Theoverlayimagemustrstbeuploadedto

theAxisproduct,seeOverlayImage.

4.Toincludedateandtime,selectIncludedateandIncludetime.

5.Toincludeatextstring,selectIncludetextandenterthetextintheeld.Modierscanbeused,seeFileNaming&

Date/TimeFormatsintheonlinehelp

6.Denetextoverlaycharacteristicsintherelevantelds.

7.ClickSave.

Tomodifythedateandtimeformat,gotoSystemOptions>Date&Time.SeeDate&Timeonpage53.

OverlayImage

Anoverlayimageisastaticimagesuperimposedoverthevideostream.Theimage,forexampleacompanylogo,isusedtoprovide

extrainformationortomaskapartoftheimage.

Useaprivacymasktosetupadynamicmaskwhichwillalwaysmaskthespeciedpartofmonitoredarea.

Formoreinformationaboutprivacymasks,seePrivacyMaskonpage29.

Touseanoverlayimage,theimagemustrstbeuploadedtotheAxisproduct.TheuploadedimageshouldbeaWindows24-bitBMP

imagewithmaximum250colors.Theimagewidthandheight,inpixels,mustbeexactlydivisibleby4andcannotbelargerthanthe

maximumimageresolution.Ifcombiningtextandimageoverlays,takeintoconsiderationthatthetextoverlayoccupies16or32

pixelsinheight(dependingontheresolution)andhasthesamewidthasthevideoimage.

ToautomaticallyscaletheimagetotheresolutionusedbytheAxisproduct,selecttheoptionScalewithresolutionfromthe

TransparencySettingspagewhichisdisplayedwhenuploadingintheimage.

Touploadanoverlayimage:

1.GotoVideo&Audio>OverlayImage.

2.ClickBrowseandbrowsetothele.

3.ClickUpload.

4.TheTransparencySettingspageisnowdisplayed:

-Tomakeacolorintheoverlayimagetransparent,selectUsetransparencyandentertheRGBhexadecimalvalue

forthecolor.Example:Tomakewhitetransparent,enterFFFFFF.

Formoreexamplesofhexadecimalvalues,seetheonlinehelp

-Toscaletheimageautomatically,selectScalewithresolution.Theimagewillbescaleddowntotthe

resolutionusedbytheAxisproduct.

5.ClickSave.
