TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtoperformactionswhendifferenteventsoccur,forexample,startarecordingwhenmotionis
detected.ThesetofconditionsthatdeneshowandwhentheactionistriggerediscalledanActionRule.
AvailableActionRuletriggersandconditionsinclude:
•Applications—useinstalledapplicationstotriggertherule,seeApplications,onpage30.
•Detectors
-Day/NightMode—triggertherulewhentheproductswitchesbetweendaymode(IRcutlteron)andnight
mode(IRcutlteroff).Thiscanforexamplebeusedtocontrolanexternalinfrared(IR)lightconnected
toanoutputport.
-MotionDetection—triggertherulewhenmotionisdetected,seeMotionDetection,onpage27.
-Tampering—triggertherulewhentamperingisdetected,seeCameraTampering,onpage27.
•Hardware
-Network—triggertheruleifnetworkconnectionislostorrestored.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtostart
recordingtotheSDcard.
•InputSignal
-ManualTrigger—triggertheruleusingtheManualTriggerbuttonintheLiveViewpage,seeControlson
theLiveViewPage,onpage8.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtovalidateactionsduringproductinstallation
andconguration.
•PTZ
-Moving—triggertherulewhenthecameraviewmovesduetoaPTZoperation.Thiscanforexamplebeused
asanadditionalconditiontopreventanactionruletriggeredbymotiondetectiontorecordvideowhilethe
cameraviewmovesduetoaPTZoperation.
-PresetReached—triggertherulewhenthecamerastopsatapresetposition.Thiscanbeforexamplebeused
withtheSendImagesactiontouploadimagesfromthepresetposition.
•Storage
-Available—triggertherulewhenthestoragedeviceisunmountedorremoved.Thiscanforexamplebe
usedtosendmaintenancenotications.
-Full—triggertherulewhenthestoragedeviceisfull.Undernormaloperation,theoldestrecordingswillbe
overwrittentopreventthestoragedevicefrombecomingfull.
-Locked—triggertheruleifthestoragedeviceislocked(writeprotected).
•System
-SystemInitializing—triggertherulewhentheproductisbeingstarted.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtosenda
noticationwhentheproductrestarts.
•Time
-Recurrence—triggertheruleperiodically,seeRecurrences,onpage33.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtoupload
animageevery5minutes.
