Function Mode

The Function Mode is used to access internal functions such as configuration and

diagnostic aids.

Set the push-wheel to position ‘9’. When the STATUS indicator starts to flash,

you can select one of the following functions:

Select position ‘0’ again when the STATUS indicator has stopped flashing. In

twinax mode, do not forget to set the device address.

0 Reserved

1 Set Factory Defaults - All parameters are reset to factory default values. The

current conﬁguration is lost.

2 Print EBCDIC Character Table - The current EBCDIC to ASCII translation

table is printed.

3 Reserved

4 Hex Dump Mode - Trap the incoming data stream and print characters and con-

trol codes as hexadecimal values.

5 Self Test - Perform internal tests and print a test report.

6 Reserved

7 Conﬁguration Mode - Run the conﬁguration program using a directly attached

3270/5250 terminal.

8 Print Parameter List - Print out the complete conﬁguration.

9 Exit Function Mode - Resume normal print operation.
