AXISCameraStationClient

AXISCameraStationClientprovidesaccesstorecordingsandlivevideofromthecamerasinthesystemandisusedtocongure

AXISCameraStation,forexampletomanagecamerasandauxiliarydevices,enablerecording,setuprulesandtomanagelicenses

andusers.TheClientcanbeinstalledonthesamecomputerastheServeroronadifferentcomputer.

TostarttheClient:

•Windows8,WindowsServer2012:GototheStartscreenandtype“AXISCameraStation”.

•Windows7,WindowsVista,WindowsServer2008:GotoStart>AllPrograms>AXISCameraStation>AXIS

LogontoAXISCameraStationServer

WhenstartingtheClientforthersttime,theClientautomaticallyattemptstologontotheAXISCameraStationServerinstalled

onthesamecomputerastheClient.IftheClientandServerareinstalledondifferentcomputers,selectRemoteserverandenter

thehostnameorIPaddressoftheservercomputerandausernameandpassword(seebelow).WhenstartingtheClientthe

nexttime,thepreviouslyselectedServerwillberemembered.

Users

TologontoanAXISCameraStationServer,ausernameandpasswordisrequired.Bydefault(localsecuritydisabled),all

administratorsonthecomputeronwhichtheServerisinstalledwillbegivenadministratorrightstoAXISCameraStation.The

administratorcanenablelocalsecurityandrestrictaccesstotrustedusersandgroups.Itisalsopossibletosetdifferentaccess

Userswithvieweroroperatorrightsdonothaveaccesstoallfunctionalitydescribedinthismanual.

Workspaces

AXISCameraStationhasthefollowingworkspaces:
