Tocongureuseraccessrights,opentheCongurationmenuandselectUserPermissions.
LocalSecurity
Bydefault,localsecurityisDisabledwhichmeansallusers,whologontoAXISCameraStationServerinstalledonthesamecomputer
astheAXISCameraStationClient,willbegivenAdministratoraccess.WhenlocalsecurityisEnabled,accesstoAXISCameraStation
isrestrictedtotrustedusersandgroupsforbothremoteandlocalclients.Forremoteclients,localsecurityisalwaysenabled.
Tochangethelocalsecuritysettings,opentheCongurationmenu,selectUserPermissionsandclickSecuritySettings.
AddaUseroraGroup
Toaddauseroragroup,followthesesteps:
1.OpentheCongurationmenuandselectUserPermissions.
2.ClickAddtoopentheAddUser/Groupdialog.
3.SelecttheAXISCameraStationServerorDomain.TheavailableusersandgroupsarelistedunderAvailabledomain
users/groups.Tonarrowthelist,selectUsersorGroups.
4.SelectauserorgroupfromthelistandclickAddtoopentheUser/GroupPrivilegesdialog.
5.Selectarolefortheuserorgroup:
-Administrator-Fullaccesstoallfunctionalityandalladdeddevices.
-Operator-FullaccesstoallfunctionalityexceptCongurationmenu,Congurationworkspace,Camera
ManagementworkspaceandAuditlogs.FullaccesstoselectedcamerasandI/Oports.Accesstoplayback
andrecordingexportcanberestricted.
-Viewer-AccesstolivevideofromselectedcamerasandaccesstoselectedI/Oports.
6.Foruserswithvieweroroperatorrights,clickCamerasandselectthecamerasandcamerafeaturestogiveaccessto.
ClickAdvancedtoviewalloptions
7.Foruserswithvieweroroperatorrights,clickI/OandselecttheI/Oportstogiveaccessto.ClickAdvancedtoviewall
options.
8.Foruserswithoperatorrights,clickPlaybacktorestrictplaybackaccess.
9.Whensatised,clickOK.

•Ifthedomainusersearchfails,makesurethatAXISCameraStationServiceisloggedonasaWindowsuserwithaccess
totheActiveDirectory.TochangetheuseraccountforAXISCameraStationService,openWindowsControlPanel,
selectAdministrativeToolsandthenServices.
