AXISCameraStationClientbehindaproxy.ToconnecttoanAXISCameraStationServerontheothersideoftheproxy,theclientproxy

settingsmustbecongured.

Toconguretheclientproxysettings,followthesesteps:

1.FromtheFilemenu,selectLogOfftoopentheLogonscreen.

2.ClickChangeclientproxysettings.

3.Selecttheappropriateoption:

-Directconnection—SelectthisoptionifthereisnoproxyserverbetweenAXISCameraStationClientand

AXISCameraStationServer.

-UseInternetExplorersettings—AXISCameraStationwillusethesameproxysettingsasInternetExplorer.

-Usemanualproxysettings—Selectthisoptiontospecifyproxysettingsmanually.

4.Ifusingmanualproxysettings,entertheproxyserver’sIPaddressorhostnameandportnumberunderManualsettings.It

isalsopossibletobypasstheproxyserverfordevicesonthelocalnetwork:

-SelectDonotuseproxyserverforaddressesbeginningwithtoexcludecertainserversfromaccessbythe

proxy.Usesemicolonstoseparateentries.

-SelectAlwaysbypassproxyserverforlocaladdressestobypasstheproxyserverwhenconnectingtothe

AXISCameraStationServerinstalledonsamecomputerastheClient.

ServerPortConguration

Theports55752(HTTP),55754(TCP)and55753(streaming)areusedontheAXISCameraStationServercomputerforcommunication

betweentheServerandtheAXISCameraStationClient.Ifrequired,theportscanbechangedfromAXISCameraStationService

UserPermissions

UsingWindowsActiveDirectory,ahighlevelofsecuritycanbeimplementedinAXISCameraStationwhengrantinguserpermissions.

BeforeuserscanbegrantedaccesstoAXISCameraStation,theymustbeaddedtothelocalcomputerorhaveanActiveDirectory

useraccount.

Ausercanbegrantedaccessasanindividualoraspartofagroup.Incaseswhereauserisgrantedaccessasanindividualhewill

retainthisrightplusreceivetherightshereceivesaspartofagroup.Forexample,auserisgivenaccesstocameraXasanindividual.

Theuserisalsoamemberofagroup.ThegroupisgivenaccesstocamerasYandZ.TheuserthenhasaccesstocamerasX,YandZ.

AdministratorsofthecomputeronwhichtheAXISCameraStationServerisinstalledareautomaticallygivenadministratorprivileges

toAXISCameraStation.Itisnotpossibletochangeorremovetheadministratorsgroup'sprivileges.
