AXISCameraStationisamonitoringandrecordingsystemforsmallandmidsizeinstallations,suchasretailshops,hotels,
manufacturingsitesandschools.AXISCameraStationisavideomanagementsoftwareoptimizedtotakefulladvantageofAxis
networkcamerasandvideoencoders,andcombineseasyinstallationandintuitiveoperationwithpowerfulfeaturesforeffective
videoinvestigation.Inadditiontothesoftware,viewingappsforsmartphonesareavailable.
AXISCameraStationiscomprisedof
•AXISCameraStationServer—handlesallcommunicationwithcameras,videoencodersandauxiliarydevicesinthe
system.EachServercancommunicatewithupto100camerasandencoders.
•AXISCameraStationClient—providesaccesstorecordings,livevideo,logsandconguration.TheClientcanbeinstalled
onanycomputerenablingremoteviewingandcontrolfromanywhereontheInternetorcorporatenetwork.

AXISCameraStationisavailableinmultiplelanguages.Thelanguageisselectedduringinstallationbutcanalsobechangedlater
byselectingCustomizefromtheOptionsmenu.
Installationscenario.AXISCameraStationServer,installedonadedicatedcomputer,handlesthecommunicationwithcamerasboth
insideandoutsidethelocal(corporate)network.ThecamerasaremonitoredandcontrolledfromtwoAXISCameraStationClients—
oneonthelocalnetworkandoneconnectedviatheInternet.
AXISCameraStationServer
AXISCameraStationServerhandlesallcommunicationwithcameras,videoencodersandauxiliarydevicesinthesystem.TheServer
alsohandlesrecordings,eventmanagementandusermanagement.
TheServershouldbeinstalledonadedicatedcomputer.Onceinstalled,theServiceControlcanbeusedtostartandstoptheServer
