Important

Iftheapplicationisalreadyinstalled,theexistingapplicationwillbeoverwritten.Overwritingremovesallapplicationsettings.

Ifanapplicationcannotbeinstalled,gotowww.axis.comandcheckifthedevicemodelandrmwareversionsupport

AXISCameraApplicationPlatform.

ExportRecordings

Recordingscanbeexportedtoalocaldisk,anetworklocationorburnedtoaCDorDVD.Multiplerecordingscanbeexportedat

thesametime.

ExportedrecordingsareASFlesandcanbeplayedby,forexample,AXISFilePlayerandWindowsMediaPlayer.AXISFilePlayeris

freesoftwareandisincludedwiththeexportedrecordings.AXISFilePlayercanbeusedwithoutcomputeradministratorrights;

noinstallationisrequired.

Toexportarecording,followthesesteps:

1.GototheRecordingsworkspace.

2.Use

CamerasorRecordingSearchtondtherecording.SeeSearchandPlayRecordings,onpage17.

3.Selecttherecordinginthetimeline:

-Toselectasinglerecording,clickontherecordinginthetimeline.

-Toselectallrecordingsinatimeinterval,ortoselectapartofalongerrecording,click

todisplaythe

selectionmarkers.Movetheselectionmarkerstothedesiredtime.

-Toselectrecordingsfrommultiplecameras,keeptheSHIFTorCTRLkeypressedwhileselectingcamerasinthe

timeline.Thenclickontherecordingorusetheselectionmarkers.

4.Click

toopentheExportdialog.

5.Selectthelocationtoexporttherecordingsto.

6.Optionally,selectCreateplaylisttocreateaplaylistforWindowsMediaPlayer.

7.Optionally,addadigitalsignature.Adigitalsignatureisusedtoensureimageauthenticityandintegrity.

8.ClickExport.

Note

Recordingexportcanalsobescheduled.GotoConguration>ScheduledRecordingExport.

UpgradeFirmware

FirmwareissoftwarethatdeterminesthefunctionalityoftheAxisproduct.Usingthelatestrmwareensuresthatthedevicewill

havethelatestfunctionalityandimprovements.

Newrmwarecanbe:

•downloadedfromAxisviaAXISCameraStation.RequiresInternetconnection.

•importedfromale(forexampleontheharddriveoronamemorystick).

Deviceswillbeofineduringrmwareupgrade.Whenupgradingmultipledevices,theupgradecanberunin

•Sequence—onedeviceatatime

•Parallel—upgradealldevices.Thisoptionisfasterbutallselecteddeviceswillbeofineatthesametime.
