OverrideMediaProlesinLiveView

ThedefaultmediaproleusedinLiveViewcanbeoverriddenforsplitviews.Usingmediaproleswithlowerresolution,lowerframe

rateorhighercompressioncanimproveperformance,especiallyforlargesplits.

Tochangetheoverridesettings,followthesesteps:

1.FromtheCongurationmenu,selectLiveViewSettings.

2.SelectacameraandclickEdit.

3.ClickLargeSplitstodisplaytheOverridessettings

4.Selectorcleartheappropriateboxesandselectmediaprolesfromthedrop-downlists.ClickChangetocreatea

newprole.

UseAudiofromanAuxiliaryDevice

AudiofromAXISP8221NetworkI/OAudioModulecanbeusedtogetherwithliveorrecordedvideofromanetworkcamera.

Followthesesteps:

1.AddAXISP8221toAXISCameraStation,seeAddAuxiliaryDevices,onpage36.

2.FromtheCongurationmenu,selectAdd/EditCameras.

3.SelectthecameraandclickEdit.

4.SelecttheauxiliarydevicefromtheExternalaudiodrop-downlist.

5.ClickOK.

6.Enableaudiointhelivevieworrecordingsettings,seeEnableAudioinLiveView,onpage42andEnableAudioin

AddInputsandOutputs

ManycamerasandvideoencodershaveI/Oportsforconnectionofexternaldevices.AuxiliarydevicescanalsohaveI/Oports.

TherearetwotypesofI/Oports:

•Inputport—connectionofdevicesthatcantogglebetweenanopenandclosedcircuit.Examples:doorandwindow

contacts,smokedetectors,glassbreakdetectorsandPIRs(PassiveInfraredDetector).

•Outputport—connectiontodevicessuchasrelays,doors,locksandalarms.Devicesconnectedtooutputportscanbe

controlledfromAXISCameraStation.

I/OportsareusedinrulessetupinEventConguration,seepage49.Inputportsareusedastriggers,thatis,when

AXISCameraStationreceivesasignalfromadeviceconnectedtoaninputport,speciedactionswillbeperformed.Outputportsare

usedasactions,thatis,whenaruleisactivated,AXISCameraStationcanactivateordeactivateadeviceconnectedtoanoutputport.

ItisalsopossibletocontroloutputportsmanuallyfromActions>I/OMonitoring.
