1.GototheCameraManagementworkspace.

2.SelectthecameraandclickonthelinkintheAddresscolumn.

3.Thecamera'sSetuppagesareopenedinawebbrowser.Entertheusernameandpasswordtologin.

4.IntheSetuppages,gotoVideo&Audio>CameraSettingsandclickEnableViewAreas.

5.GotoVideo&Audio>ViewAreastoaddandcongureviewareas.Forinstructions,seetheonlinehelp.

ToaddviewareastoAXISCameraStation:

1.FromtheCongurationmenu,selectAdd/EditCameras.

2.ClickAddtostartsearchingforcameras.

3.Viewareasconguredinthecamerawillbedisplayedinthesearchresult.Selecttheviewareastoadd.

Note

Viewareasdonotsupportmotionrecording.

AddAuxiliaryDevices

Auxiliarydevicesaredeviceswithoutvideocapabilities,forexampledoorcontrollersandaudiodevices.Auxiliarydevicescan

beaddedwithoutanadditionalAXISCameraStationlicense.

Supportedmodels:

•AXISA1001NetworkDoorController—PartofaPhysicalAccessControlSystem(PACS).

•AXISP8221NetworkI/OAudioModule—ProvidesadditionalI/Oportsandaudiocapabilitiestoanetworkvideoinstallation.

AuxiliarydevicescanbeaddedtoAXISCameraStationinthefollowingways:

•Bysearchingfordevicesonthenetwork,seeAddAuxiliaryDevices—UsingSearch.

•ByspecifyingthedeviceIPaddressorhostnamemanually,seeAddAuxiliaryDevices—Manually.

AddAuxiliaryDevices—UsingSearch

Toaddauxiliarydevicesusingthesearchfunctionfollowthesesteps:

1.FromtheCongurationmenu,selectAdd/EditAuxDevices.

2.ClickSearch.TheAuxDeviceSearchwindowopenswithalistofallauxiliarydevicesfoundonthenetwork.

3.SelectthedesireddevicesandclickOK.

Note

SelectUsehostnamewhenpossibletousehostnamesinsteadofIPaddresseswhenaddingauxiliarydevices.Ifan

auxiliarydeviceisaddedusingitshostname,thehostnamewillbeusedforallfurthercommunicationwiththedevice.Ifa

hostnameisnotavailable,theIPaddresswillbeused.

AddAuxiliaryDevices—Manually

Toaddauxiliarydevicesmanuallyfollowthesesteps:

1.FromtheCongurationmenu,selectAdd/EditAuxDevices.

2.ClickAddtoopentheAddAuxDevicedialog.
