Setting the UNIX Parameters
In UNIX, no specific settings are required to make use of your StorPoint CD. However, to specify
the settings for the UNIX environment, follow these steps:
1. From within the Administration Web pages, click Detailed View . The Protocols dialog
box appears.
2. Open the UNIX (NFS) page and specify the settings.
3. Click OK.
Access Control
In the UNIX (NFS) environment, the NFS export list is used for access control. You can add
clients with specific host names or IP addresses to the export list. You can also specify a range of IP
addresses. Follow these steps:
1. From within the Administration Web pages, click Discs & Drives.
2. Locate the resource you want to protect in the file tree, and click Access Rights .
3. Open the UNIX Security page.
4. Choose whether you want to add a host name or an IP address. Specify the new entry and click
Add to add it to the NFS export list.
5. Click OK.
