MediaAgent CD-ROM Management Software
The AXIS StorPoint CD is compatible with the MediaAgent for CDs
software, which provides users with convenient access to CD-ROMs
over the network. MediaAgent for CDs catalogs and tracks CD-ROM
titles as they are moved around the network, thus simplifying and
speeding-up access to a required CD-ROM.
Other features of MediaAgent for CDs are:
• Administration of user and group access rights
• Restriction of access to sensitive data
• Auditing and reporting on CD-ROM usage
• Multiprotocol support
• Load balancing, i.e. connect users to the least used copy of a CD-
ROM title when duplicate CD-ROM titles are being accessed by
multiple users.
