84 AXIS StorPoint CD User’s Manual
Managing Security in UNIX
When accessing the StorPoint CD using NFS, you may restrict the
access to users with a certain IP Address, Group ID (GID) or User ID
(UID).
Access is controlled by creating or editing
NFSIPAddress
,
NFSGroup
and
NFSUser
parameters in the access files in the volumes folder on
the StorPoint CD. These values can be used:
Notes: ❏
There is an ‘or’ relation between the NFS access control
parameters. A user that fulfills any of the NFS access criteria you
have specified will be granted access. This means that if you set
any of the parameters to ‘*’, all users will have access regardless of
the settings of the other parameters.
❏
You can specify as many
NFSIPAddress
,
NFSGroup
and
NFSUser
entries as required.
