The Front Panel Indicators
The front panel indicators show the status of the StorPoint CD. The
indicators have the following functions:
• Status -
Flashes during startup. When the StorPoint CD is ready
for use, the light goes out. The LED remains off, unless an error
condition occurs.
•CD -
Will be lit when a readable CD-ROM is inserted into any
connected drive. The LED will be either lit or unlit, unless an
error condition occurs when the LED will flash.
• Network -
Flashes to indicate the presence of network traffic.
•Power
- Indicates that power is connected to the StorPoint CD.
This LED should remain lit and is only used to indicate power is
present in the StorPoint unit.
Normal Conditions
The Power LED is controlled by hardware and is always lit when
power is connected. This table shows the other front panel indicators
under normal conditions:
* The Network LED will flash when there is network traffic.
