Running a Diagnostic Test
To check the StorPoint CD’s memory and the performance of the
connected drives, you can run a diagnostic test.
Before you begin
• Users currently accessing the StorPoint CD will be interrupted.
• The diagnostic test is only available for the first hour after power
on or restart. Also, you must restart the StorPoint CD before you
can repeat the test.
• To test the data transfer performance of a CD-ROM drive, the
drive must have a CD-ROM inserted with a file larger than
10 Mbytes on it.
To perform a diagnostic test, follow these steps:
1.
Start the Web browser and enter the URL of the server’s
Diagnostics page:
http://<Internet address>/config/html/diag.htm
2.
Make sure that a suitable CD-ROM is inserted into each of the
drives whose performance is to be tested.
