84 AXIS StorPoint CD Token Ring - User’s Manual
AXIS MIB The AXIS MIB includes a large number of objects that can be categorized as
follows:
• Menu objects - used for viewing and changing the StorPoint CD
configuration from the NMS program.
• Status and administration objects - used for monitoring StorPoint CD and
storing parameter settings.
• Trap objects - used for alarm at various error conditions.
To add the AXIS MIB to your NMS software:
1. Get the MIB file from the following location:
ftp://ftp.axis.com/pub/axis/software/cd_srv/utility/mib/
2. Install the AXIS MIB according to instructions in your NMS software
documentation.
For technical details, view the MIB file
axis_cd.mib using a text editor.
SNMP Settings To configure your StorPoint CD for SNMP:
1. Start your Web browser and enter the name or IP address of your StorPoint
CD in the location/address field.
2. Click admin. You will be prompted for the user name and Server password.
By default, these are set to
root and pass.
3. Click Network Settings.
4. Click Detailed View .
5. Select the SNMP tab.
6. Specify the settings.
7. Click OK.
