Section 2 Installing StorPoint CD
This section includes the setup procedures for getting your StorPoint CD server
up and running:
Stage 1 - Connecting StorPoint CD to the network
Stage 2 - Assigning an IP address
Stage 3 - Setting system parameters
You should then proceed to the relevant sections of the manual depending on
your network environment:
“Section 3 - Microsoft & IBM Networks (SMB)”
“Section 4 - NetWare (NCP)”
“Section 5 - UNIX (NFS)”
“Section 6 - Web Browser (HTTP)”
Note:
Typically, your StorPoint CD server will already be installed in a tower
when delivered. However, if required you can refer to:
•“Installing StorPoint CD in a Tower ” on page 116 on how to install your
StorPoint CD in a CD tower
•“Connecting Drives to StorPoint CD ” on page 118 on how to connect
CD/DVD drives to your StorPoint CD.
