3 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Regular and timely maintenance is essential to keep the Model 7100 in
good operating condition. To achieve reliable performance, the
maintenance procedures listed in this chapter must be performed at the
specified intervals.
Periodic maintenance procedures include the following:
Examining the status of air pressure and water supplies to the System
and inside the System.
Inspecting the condition and performance of System assemblies and
components.
Performing accuracy measurements.
Greasing the moving assemblies and components in the System.
Backing up the Database at regular intervals (see Chapter 11).
This chapter contains Periodic Maintenance Tables that detail the list of
maintenance procedures to be performed, including tolerance levels, as
well as details regarding greasing procedures.
This chapter includes the following sections:
Daily Maintenance Procedures (page 1 of 3), section 3.1
Monthly Maintenance Procedures (page 1 of 2), section 3.2
Quarterly Maintenance Procedures (page 1 of 3), section 3.3
Greasing Procedures, section 3.4
Note: The schedule for backing up the Database (daily, monthly, etc.) will
depend on the user’s requirements.

convenience. Photocopy and file them after completing the procedures listed.
