TheI/OportsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>I/OPorts.Theportscanbegivendescriptivenamesandtheir

NormalstatescanbeconguredasOpencircuitorGroundedcircuit.

Maintenance

TheAxisproductprovidesseveralmaintenancefunctions.TheseareavailableunderSystemOptions>Maintenance.

ClickRestarttoperformacorrectrestartiftheAxisproductisnotbehavingasexpected.Thiswillnotaffectanyofthecurrent

settings.

ClickRestoretoresetmostsettingstothefactorydefaultvalues.Thefollowingsettingsarenotaffected:

•thebootprotocol(DHCPorstatic)

•thestaticIPaddress

•thedefaultrouter

•thesubnetmask

•thesystemtime

•theIEEE802.1Xsettings

•thefocusposition

•uploadedapplicationsarekeptbutmustberestarted

ClickDefaulttoresetallsettings,includingtheIPaddress,tothefactorydefaultvalues.Thisbuttonshouldbeusedwithcaution.The

Axisproductcanalsoberesettofactorydefaultusingthecontrolbutton,seeResettoFactoryDefaultSettingsonpage62.

Toresettheoptics,clickCalibrateunderSystemOptions>Maintenance>Optics.Thismaybenecessaryinsituationswherethe

opticshaslostitscalibrationduringtransportorhasbeenexposedtoextremevibrations.Ifnecessarycongurefocusandzoom

again(seeBasicSetuponpage17).

ToidentifytheproductortesttheStatusLED,clickFlashLEDunderIdentifyandspecifythedurationinseconds,minutesorhours.

Thiscanbeusefulforidentifyingtheproductamongotherproductsinstalledinthesamelocation.
