❏ Although the downloaded entries are executed in parallel, the
commands included within each entry are executed sequentially,
i.e. the second command is not executed until the first is finished.
Editing a CRON
Script
From the AXIS 240 Home Page, click CRON to access an online
editor for generating a CRON script. The new CRON script will then
be automatically downloaded to the AXIS 240.
Alternatively, you can use a standard text editor and download the
CRON script file via FTP. See Downloading the CRON Script via
FTP on page 58.
Notes:
❏ If the camera number is not explicitly specified in a command, the
CRON script will apply to the camera defined as the default
camera.
❏ Only one CRON script can be resident within the AXIS 240 at a
time. Once a new script is installed, the active entries contained in
a previously downloaded CRON script will be stopped and
automatically erased from memory.
❏ An erroneous CRON file will not be accepted by the AXIS 240
and consequently will not erase a previously loaded script.
