Canon
Specify which camera should use the Pan/Tilt device. Click Store
device settings.
Sony
The Sony devices can connect up to three video cameras, if daisy
chained. Specify the camera sources for each camera ID 1-3. Click
Store device settings.
Videmech
It is possible to connect up to five Videmech units to the AXIS
240, if connected via an RS485 adapter. For each camera that you
intend to use, enable the corresponding Pan/Tilt device and
specify an address 1-255. Note that the address 255 implies that
the control signals will be broadcast to all the connected Pan/Tilt
devices.

Parameter Description
SafeMode To avoid any undesired camera movements, you can
enable the SafeMode function. However, the traffic will
increase and normally you can keep SafeMode dis-
abled.
Movement
SoftStops
These soft stops indicate the end position in all direc-
tions; i.e. left, right, up and down. The soft stops will
assure that the camera is kept within certain bounds.
Focus & Zoom
SoftStops
These soft stops indicate the end position for focus and
zoom. In order not to stall the motors when approach-
ing max zoom or max tele, it is important that you limit
the zoom/tele interval in accordance with the capabili-
ties of your specific lenses. Note: If you are not using a
zoom lens, set the ZoomWide parameter to 1.
Optical Data The MaxDeg setting should correspond to the angle at
max zoom. The MinDeg setting should correspond to
the angle at max tele.
Show Zoom &
Focus bars
If enabled, the zoom and focus bars will be displayed
on the Pan/Tilt Control page.
