Restart Hardware

A hard reset will erase all records and entries stored in your PDA. NEVER perform a hard

reset unless a soft reset does not correct your problem. Always ensure you have backed

up your data, if possible, before performing a hard reset on your PDA. You can restore

any data the you previously backed up to your card.

To perform a hard rest, do the following:

1. Press and hold the Power and Backlight buttons together, then release the Backlight

button only.

2. Release the Power button when the SMiRF Powered logo appears.

3. Follow on-screen instructions:

• If you want to abandon the hard reset, press the down arrow button.

• If you want to continue with the hard reset, press the up arrow button.

Non-Synchronizing work-orders

If the work-orders are not synchronizing properly then check to see if the Handheld has a

method to communicate with the internet installed or setup. Without a method to

communicate with the internet the PDA cannot exchange information with the server.

Note

When you perform a hard reset, the current date and time are retained. Formats,

preferences, and other settings are restored to their factory default settings.
