Setting up the printer

The following instructions will provide a quick reference for setting up the A795 printer.

You will need to refer to the User’s Guide and Programming Supplement manuals

downloadable from the TPG, Inc. web site (http://www.TPGprinters.com) for specific

details for the setup procedures, troubleshooting tips, configuration adjustments and

command designations. Pages referenced are from the User’s Guide, unless noted.

Unpack the printer, saving all packing materials for future

shipping or storage (page 13).

Load the starter roll of paper (pages 14 & 15). You can change

the paper type used in this printer. See step 6.

3 4 Choose a location for the printer (page 16). Connect the following cables based on your configuration using a-b below. Connector Interface Panel When using USB (step “b” below), use caution to ensure the USB cable is connected to the USB connector on the back left of the printer and not into the cash drawer connector that is on the right back of the printer.

5 Run a diagnostic test to test the printer (page 23). Open Cover Push and hold Paper Feed Button while closing Cover 6 Configure the printer if necessary (page 25 in User Guide and Programming Supplement for command descriptions and usage).
