6 Setting Alerts
Alerts can be set in Infopoint or awareHealth. When triggered, alerts send notifications
to personnel to check temperature assets to make sure vaccines and other perishables
are kept per regulations.
6.1 Setting an Infopoint Alert
Infopoint allows you to create alert rules that can range from simple to complex. You
can change alert rules only with certain permissions.
From the Asset Rules page, click the Create New Rule link. The Rule Wizard opens.
The first page of the wizard opens as static; however, after choosing a Rule Type, the
wizard moves through steps specific to the selected rule type. For instance, different
information is needed for a Par-Level rule than is needed for a Maintenance Required
rule. Thus, the wizard presents different pages and asks for different information
depending on the rule type.
1. Enter a name in the Name field
Alert names should be indicative of the actual rule. When possible, shorten
spelling. For example, a 1st Floor Lobby Exit Alert could be shortened to “1st Fl
Lobby Exit.”
2. Select a Rule Type check box.
3. Set the rule priority to Low, Medium, or High.
4. Click Next.
