4.3.5.2 Tag Connected Through Awarepoint Appliance
Perform the following procedure to configure the tag for use in the Awarepoint solution
with awareHealth:
1. Pair the VFC tag with its display.
See the procedure in Pairing Devices.
2. Batch create the tag.
a. From the Devices tab drop-down, select Create.
b. From the Device Type drop-down, select the type of device you are creating.
c. In the MAC Addresses or Product ID's (PID): field, enter the MAC address
or product ID (PID) of the device or devices.
d. Click Create.
3. Configure the tag to be a VFC tag.
a. From the devices list on the left, drill down to find the Tag type whose
configuration you want to change or update, then select the configuration
beneath it.
b. Edit each desired field or checkbox to the configuration settings desired.
NOTE: Refer to the System Manager User Guide for detailed information on all
fields and a full description of the configuration process.
c. Click Submit to apply any changes made.
Following this procedure, the tag will display in awareHealth and an alert can be set to
notify personnel when the temperature asset goes out of range.
4.3.6 VFC Display Setup
The VFC Display functions as a separate device on the network and requires its own
setup and procedures apart from the Environmental Tag. The setup consists of the
