TheOSDhotkeyistheshortcutkeythattheuserpressesonhiskeyboardtodisplaytheOSD.The
per-userOSDHotkeysettingappliesonlywhenthatuserisloggedintoareceiver.Thereisa
systemwidedefaultthatapplieswhennouserisloggedintoareceiver.Thisdefaultisfoundunder
SystemSettingsontheOSDtab.
TheOSDinactivitytime-outsetsthetimeafterwhichtheOSDwillbeautomaticallydismissedif
thereisnouserkeyboardormouseactivity.
To change the OSD settings:
1. Selectoneormoreusers.
2. OntheUserDetailspane,clickOSD.
3. SelecttheOSDHotkeyfromthedrop-downlist.
4. EntertheOSDInactivityTimeoutinminutes.Iftheinactivitytimerissetto0,thetime-outwill
bedisabled.
5. ClickSave.
Users – OSD F1-F12 tab
TheOSDF1-F12isforcreatingactionhotkeysforthereceiverOSD.Forexample,youcansetthe
F1 keytoconnecttoaspecifictargetwhenloggedintotheOSD.Youcancreateshortcutkey
assignmentssothatwhentheOSDisdisplayed,youcanpressoneoftheF1 throughF12 keyson
yourkeyboardtoinitiateacommonaction,suchasconnectingtoaspecifiedtarget.
To create OSD shortcut keys:
1. Selectoneormoreusers.
2. OntheUserDetailspane,clickOSD F1-F12.
3. Selectthedesiredfunctionkeyandthenselectanactionfromthedrop-downlist.
4. TheConnecttoTargetXactionrequiresaspecifictargettobespecified.Selectatargetfrom
thedrop-downlisttotheright.
5. ClickSave.
Users – Status tab
TheStatustabshowsthecurrentreceiverloginandKVMsessionsfortheselecteduser(s).
Typically,therewillbeonlyonesessionlistedperuser,butausercanhavemultiplesessions.The
tabdisplaystheusername,thereceiver,thetransmitterandthedurationofthesession.
