MatrixSwitchingSystem.
Appliance mode
TheApplianceModemenuoptionallowsyoutotoggletheswitchbetweencascademasterand
cascadeslave.Iftheswitchisconfiguredasacascadeslave,thisoptionallowstheadministratorto
selectthecascademasterusingtheswitchEID.
Username/password
Theusername/passwordmenuallowstheusertochangetheusernameandorpassword.
Thechangesetupportpasswordoptionallowstheusertoenableorchangeasetupportpassword.
Thiswillenableordisableaccesstothebootmenuwhichallowstheusertoselectthecurrentor
previousversionoffirmwareforbooting.Whileconnectedtotheswitchfromthesetupport,
administratorscanalsoselectabootimage.WhennewfirmwareisloadedintoMatrixswitch,the
switchkeepsacopyofthepreviousversioninaseparateflashimage.Thereisashortbootmenu
thatallowstheadministratortoselectwhichbootimageistobeused.Thebootmenuisaccessedin
thefirstfivesecondsofbootingbypressinganykey.
Set session timeout
Thesetsessiontimeoutoptionconfiguresthesetupportinactivitytime-out.Whenthetime-outfor
thesetupportexpires,theuserisloggedout.
