(s).Therecanbeonlyonemasterinacascadedsystem.
NOTE: Ifyouneedtolimitthenumberofinterconnectsbeingusedinyourcascadedsystem,youcan
connectthetransmittersandreceiversdirectlytoaslaveswitch.
TheswitchthatissettoMasterModeisusedtoadministertheotherswitches,transmittersand
receiversinthesystemthroughtheOBWI.Inasystemwithonlyoneswitch,thatswitchshould
alwaysbesettoMasterMode.
WhenaswitchissettoSlaveMode,thewebuserinterfaceontheswitchwillbecomeverylimited.A
slavecannotadministerotherdevices.

Cascaded Switch System Components
To install a cascaded Matrix switching system:
1. PositiontheMatrixswitchestobeattachedandselectaswitchtobethemasterswitch.
2. AttachoneendofanSTPcableintoanumberedRJ-45portonthemasterswitch.Attachthe
otherendofthecabletoanumberedRJ-45portontheslaveswitch.
