Appliance serial ports
If the target device for the serial port in the DSView softwar e database has a single
appliance connection, the target device name w ill be pulled from the appliance to
update the target device name in the DSView softw are database. If the tar get device
for the serial port in the DSView software database has multiple appliance con-
nections, the target device name willbe pulled from one of the appliance connections
( based on the configur ed connection type priority) to update the tar get device name
in the DSView softwar e database.
Power devi ces
The power device name w ill be pulled fr om the appliance to update the power device
name in the D SView softw are database.
Power device sockets
If the target device for the power device socket in the DSView softwar e database has
a single appliance connection, the target device name willbe pulled fr om the appli-
ance to update the target device name in the DSView software database. If the tar-
get device for the power device socket in the DSView software database has multiple
appliance connections, the target device name will be pulled from one of the appli-
ance connections(based on the configur ed connection type priority) to update the
tar get device name in the DSView softw are database.
