To add new channels with paired units:
1. Press the Control key twice to bring up the Administrator Channel List menu.
2. Press Control twice more to bring up the Command Menu.
3. Select Add Channel from the Channel Maintenance Menu and press Enter.
4. Type in a new channel name, up to 14 characters long, and press Enter.
5. At the next prompt, type in the letter A if the PC is attached to the primary
unit or B if it is attached to the secondary unit. Press Enter.
6. When prompted for another cascade level type Y and press Enter.
7. Type the letter of the computer port that the computer is attached to on the
secondary AutoView and press Enter.
8. To exit type N when prompted for another cascade level and press Enter.

Press Escape at any point to exit this operation without adding a channel.
NOTE: Keyboard switching is not available on paired units. All other keyboard controls function
as described earlier in the manual.
To uninstall pairing:
1. Press the Control key twice to bring up the Administrator Channel List menu.
2. Press Control twice more to bring up the Command Menu.
3. Highlight Administrator Functions and press Enter.
4. Highlight Unit Confi guration and press Enter.
5. Highlight Option 1 (Tiered) and press Enter.
6. Press Escape to exit OSD.
7. Disconnect the serial and video cables from both AutoView units.
8. Attach a keyboard and monitor directly to the secondary unit.
9. Repeat steps 1-6 on the secondary unit.
10. The units may now be cascaded together or used separately.
NOTE: The channel list will need to be modifi ed according to the Basic Channel Maintenance
instructions in the manual after uninstalling pairing.
