Netware Connect for ISDN 4 Configuration 45
PPP Call-back
NetWare Connect for ISDN currently supports neither recall requests in ac-
cordance with RFC 1570 (LCP Extensions) nor in accordance with the Mi-
crosoft Draft (Recall Control Protocol, CBCP) on connections with Microsoft
Dial-up Networking.
This means that remote PPP users cannot issue a recall request in order to
have the server accept the connection charges. However, for security rea-
sons it is possible to call back remote PPP clients using the Forced Dial-
back mechanism of NetWare Connect for ISDN.
Forced Dialback is a feature of NetWare Connect for ISDN. For further infor-
mation on this feature, please see the NetWare Connect for ISDN 2.0 Instal-
lation and Administration Guide, pp. 141–149.
