Installing NDC on the Client
To install NDC for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT, proceed as follows:
1. Select the “Run” command in the Windows Start menu.
2. Enter the following command in the command line:
<CD-ROM drive>:\SYSTEM\NDC\WINDOWS\SETUP
3. Click on “OK” to start the installation.
4. In the first dialog, select the language in which you want to run the in-
stallation program. Confirm by clicking on “OK”.
The installation program’s sign-on window appears.
5. Click on “Continue”.
You can cancel the installation at any time by pressing “Esc” or by click-
ing on “Cancel”.
6. Enter the path in which you want to install NDC for Windows.
The default shown is C:\PROGRAM FILES\AVM\NETWORK DISTRIBUTED
CAPI. You can change this to any other path you wish, however. Confirm
your entry by clicking on “OK”.
7. The Setup program now copies all the necessary files to the specified
path.
The Start menu now contains a new program group named “Network
Distributed CAPI”. This folder contains the program shortcut “Network
Distributed CAPI”.
8. To complete the installation, restart Windows.
