18 Netware Connect for ISDN – 2 Installation in NetWare 5 or NetWare With NIAS 4.1
3. The message “Welcome to NIAS Remote Access” is displayed and the
prompt “Do you want instructions?” appears. Select “No” and confirm
by pressing “Enter” twice.
4. In the next dialog, “Do you have any synchronous adapters?”, select
“No” if you are using only AVM ISDN-Controllers. The following message
appears: “There are no AIO ports defined. NIAS Remote Access will help
you load the appropriate AIO driver(s).”
5. Press “Enter” again and select the AVM ISDN-Controller in the “AIO
Driver” list.
6. Acknowledge the message “The requested driver was loaded success-
fully” by pressing “Enter”.
7. Next you are asked, “Do you need more AIO drivers?” Choose “No”.
8. To the question “Keep current modem settings,” answer “Yes”.
The next dialog prompts you: “Now select the services you want to
load”. Among the services listed, CCS and RNSI are those provided by
NetWare Connect for ISDN.
9. Select “CCS” and press “Enter” to activate the CAPI Connect Service.
This allows every workstation in the LAN to use CAPI applications.
10. Answer “Yes” to the question “Do you want to start this service now?”
11. Then select “RNSI” and press “Enter” to configure and start the Remote
Node Service for ISDN. This service allows remote workstations
(equipped with NetWAYS/ISDN or PPP over ISDN) to dial in and access
resources in the LAN. The configuration menu for RNSI appears.
12. Configure the RNSI service. At least enter an IPX address that has not
yet been assigned in the “General Parameters”, and the number of your
ISDN line in “Parameters for ISDN-Controller NWCI1”.
