12 Netware Connect for ISDN – 1 Introduction
1.4 System Requirements
The server equipment must fulfill the following requirements:
l The NetWare version must be one of the following:
l The system RAM must be at least:
l At least 26 MB of available hard disk space
l A CD-ROM drive or an additional 10 MB of hard disk space for a copy of
the NetWare Connect for ISDN installation files
l Appropriate SET commands in STARTUP.NFC:
set minimum packet receive buffers = 200
set maximum packet receive buffers = 500
l Update your NetWare version in accordance with Novell’s recommend-
ed minimum patch list. Current patches can be found on Novell’s Web
site at:
http://novell.com/misc/patlst.htm#nw
There are a number of ways to install NetWare Connect for ISDN. For detailed
information, please see the section “NetWare Connect for ISDN Installation
Setup” in the “NetWare Connect for ISDN 2.0 Installation and Administration
Guide”, p. 54. The following procedure describes the installation form the
original “NetWare Connect for ISDN 2.1” CD-ROM supplied.
Please note that none of the ISDN-Controllers to be used by NetWare Con-
nect for ISDN must be used by a NetWare driver nor by any other application
during installation and operation of NetWare Connect for ISDN. If necessary,
unload the existing drivers using the command
load capi20 -d.
