3.2.2 Loading the Driver Software
You may load the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2
with or without using PCMCIA Card and Socket Services.
Please note that an Intel-compatible PC Card Interface
Controller (PCIC) is required to operate the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M2 without Card and Socket Services.
Furthermore, without Card and Socket Services the AVM
Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 can only use the I/O address
150h. Make sure no other hardware components are
using this resource.
To begin using the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2
after installation, proceed as follows:
1. Insert the Controller in the PCMCIA slot.
2. Restart the computer.
The driver software setup program has added the
command
m2enable -h
to your autoexec.bat file. This command activates
the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 in the PCMCIA
slot when you restart the computer.
You may also activate the card by entering the same
command at the DOS prompt after you have inserted
the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 in the PCMCIA
slot.
