4. In the command line, enter the path and file name of
the Setup program:
<CD-ROM DRIVE>:\CARDWARE\M2
\WINDOWS.3XX\ENGLISH\setup
Click on OK to start the installation program.
The “Initializing Setup” message is displayed. After
initialization is complete, the Setup program’s sign-
on message appears.
5. Click on the Continue button.
The installation can be canceled at any time by
clicking on Exit.
6. In the next dialog, enter the name of the directory in
which you want to install the Mobile ISDN-Controller
driver software.
The default is C:\IDRIVER. You may confirm this or
enter any other directory name. When your entry is
complete, confirm by clicking on the Continue
button.
To return to the previous dialog, click on the Go back
button.
7. The next dialog asks which D channel protocol
should be loaded when the Controller is initialized.
If you intend to operate the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M2 primarily on your fixed ISDN line,
select “DSS1” or “1TR6” (see Section 1.2).
If you want to use the Controller mainly with your
GSM mobile phone, select the option “GSM”.
After installation you will be able to change D channel
protocols, and thus switch from fixed-line ISDN to
GSM operation, using program icons in the “AVM”
program group (see Section 3.2.4 below).
Now the installation routine copies all files to the
specified drive and directory. A new program group
named “AVM” is created in the Program Manager.
