3 Driver Software Installation – Windows 3.x
3.1.6 Uninstalling the Driver Software
To undo the installation of the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M2 for DOS, first remove the driver from
memory by entering the command
ibase – <Return>
Then use the DOS commands del and rmdir to delete the
driver software and the installation directory. If you have
added the command ibase to your autoexec.bat file, you
must also remove it again.
3.2 Windows 3.x Installation
Specially developed driver software for Microsoft Win-
dows 3.x is supplied with the Mobile ISDN-Controller M2.
This true 32-bit virtual device driver (VxD) takes advantage
of Windows’ “386 Enhanced Mode”.
The Common ISDN API 2.0 driver for Windows supports
both Windows and DOS applications, simultaneously.
The DOS CAPI driver must not be loaded before Windows
is started. If you want to use DOS-based CAPI applications,
either start them at the MS-DOS prompt after starting
Windows, or end your Windows session and install the
AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 driver for DOS.
3.2.1 Installing the Driver Software
To install the ISDN-Controller software for Windows 3.x,
proceed as follows:
1. Start Windows.
2. Insert the disk labeled “AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M1/M2” in your CD-ROM drive.
See the file Readme.txt or Readme.hlp in the subdirectory
\CARDWARE\M2\WINDOWS.3XX\ENGLISH on the CD-ROM
for the latest information.
3. In the “File” menu of the Program Manager, select
the “Run” command.
