3 Driver Software Installation – MS-DOS
English
To load the driver for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2
automatically each time you start the computer, add the
command
ibase
to your autoexec.bat file. Include the path
name of the driver software installation directory where
the file ibase.bat is found.
3.1.3 Unloading the Driver Software
To remove the driver software from memory, enter the
command:
ibase – <Return>
(“ibase”, space, minus sign) at the DOS prompt. The
program displays a message to confirm that the driver
has been removed.
You may now remove the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M2 from your computer’s PCMCIA slot.
3.1.4 Changing the D Channel Protocol
If you need to switch between the D channel protocols
DSS1, 1TR6 and GSM, then perform the driver software
installation once for each D channel protocol you need to
use. Specify a different installation directory each time,
such as IDRIVER.DSS for the DSS1 protocol and
IDRIVER.GSM for the GSM protocol.
To start the Controller with a different protocol, first
connect the desired cable (ISDN or GSM), then change to
the corresponding installation directory before executing
ibase.bat as described in Section 3.1.2 above.
3.1.5 Installing CAPI Applications
After you have installed and loaded the Mobile ISDN-
Controller, you can install the CAPI applications you want
to use with the Controller. The ISDN file transfer program
Connect2, for example, is included with your AVM
Mobile ISDN-Controller M2.
